In 1964, Ed Hackbarth and Davy Jameson opened the first Del Taco restaurant at Yale, California. On its first day, Del taco offered 19 tacos, Tacos, French fries and 24 burgers, the equivalent of $169 in revenue. 900 tortillas. Things are starting to get bold. Del Taco is booming in the 1970s. By 1977, there were 50 restaurants, and by 1978, there were 100. The menu has also been expanded to include Tacos, tacos and ice cream sundaes.
