(#1) Taserface
Who He Is: Taserface was a Ravager who mutinied against his captain alongside a large portion of the crew. He took command of the situation and executed any of the crewmembers still loyal to Yondu. Ultimately, Yondu managed to get a hold of his arrow, and with it, he slew the crew and blew up the ship, leaving Taserface to perish as it blew.
Why Is He So Dirty? Ravagers aren't necessarily the cleanest people in the galaxy, but Taserface seemed to take it a step or two further. He's never shown to be clean, and his nasty disposition doesn't help him look any better.
His Dirtiest Moment: Right up to the end, he got dirtier and dirtier. Of course, the fire probably cleansed him of germs as it incinerated his body, so he cleaned himself up in the end.
(#2) Whiplash
- Marvel Universe
Who He Is: Ivan Antonovich Vanko was a Russian physicist who was the son of a disgraced scientist. He believed his father was screwed over by Howard Stark, so he decided to take his rage out against his son, Tony, which is also when he picked up the moniker, Whiplash. Justin Hammer broke him out of prison after a failed attempt to take out Tony landed him there, and he took over Hammer's drones to attempt a strike on Stark once more.
Why Is He So Dirty? He only cares about vengeance and has little to no interest in keeping himself clean. He is often wearing dirty and tattered clothing, and it doesn't appear to bother him at all.
His Dirtiest Moment: While he was imprisoned, he let himself go even further.
(#3) Ulysses Klaue
Who He Is: Ulysses Klaue was an international black-market arms dealer who specialized in whatever he could get his hands on out of Wakanda. His connections to Wakanda aided him in taking a stockpile of vibranium, which later brought him to the attention of Ultron (who accidentally ripped off his arm).
Why Is He So Dirty? Klaue is not a clean person, and he clearly doesn't care much about his appearance. He's almost always sweaty and dirty.
His Dirtiest Moment: It's hard to pick a dirtiest moment for Klau, but if there's one that's a fraction of a point higher than the rest, it's the scene where Ultron rips off his arm. He probably got an infection just from how nasty he was at the time.
(#4) Thor

Who He Is: Thor Odinson is the second-born child of Odin and the presumptive successor to the throne of Asgard. His arrogance landed him on Earth, where he was forced to learn a harsh lesson so he could reclaim his worthiness. Thor has been through a lot in the MCU. He lost his parents, his (adopted) brother, his closest friend, and half of his people.
Why Is He So Dirty? For most of the MCU, Thor wasn't dirty at all. He was clean-shaven, and godlike in appearance. After Thanos' snap wiped out half of all life in the universe, Thor let himself go, and it's at this point that the God of Thunder became a dirty person.
His Dirtiest Moment: The time following the Snap, where he let himself devolve into a slob. He stopped shaving, let his hair continue to grow, and barely cleaned himself.
(#5) Trevor Slattery
Who He Is: A former actor with legal issues and a substance dependency, which made him an ideal candidate for Aldrich Killian, who hired him to pose as the Mandarin . He took responsibility for Killian's accidents, making them seem like intentional extremist attacks.
Why Is He So Dirty? Trevor is a nasty guy who doesn't care about his personal hygiene at all. All he cares about is getting his next fix and staying in his opulent surroundings for as long as possible.
His Dirtiest Moment: Pretty much anytime he's onscreen as Trevor. When he was in his guise as the Mandarin, he wasn't necessarily dirty, but when Tony Stark captured him, he was revealed to be a nasty individual.
(#6) Professor Erik Selvig
- Thor: The Dark World, The Avengers, Thor
Who He Is: Dr. Erik Selvig is an astrophysicist, and for a time, he was the Professor of Theoretical Astrophysics at Culver University. He had a close mentoring relationship with Jane Foster, and his knowledge of Norse mythology, coupled with the appearance of Thor via Asgardian technology, made him a central figure in the first Thor film.
Why Is He So Dirty? On the surface, Dr. Selvig isn't necessarily a dirty person, but his close contact with Thor put him into a ton of dirty situations, making it difficult for him to keep clean.
His Dirtiest Moment: After Loki took control of his mind with the Soul Stone, Dr. Selvig abandoned any pretense of personal hygiene or maintenance. He remained pretty dirty through most of The Avengers as a result.
(#7) Miek
- Planet Hulk
Who He Is: Miek is a Sakaaran warrior who was forced to fight in the Grandmaster's Contest of Champions. He fights from within a robotic exoskeleton equipped with large blades where his hands would be. He was a close friend of Korg, which made him an ally of Thor, but by the end of Thor: Ragnarok, he had lost his exoskeleton suit, and was a large purple mass of bug.
Why Is He So Dirty? Despite being an intelligent insect, Miek is still an insect, and he doesn't have any interest in keeping himself clean.
His Dirtiest Moment: Pretty much anytime you see Miek on screen, he's a dirty little bug.
(#8) Rocket Raccoon
- Marvel Universe
Who He Is: Rocket is an alien species designated experiment 89P13, who was genetically modified to become an intelligent, talking, bipedal thief and bounty hunter. He ended up in prison alongside some other like-minded individuals who eventually join forces to become the Guardians of the Galaxy. Rocket is a genius who is capable of building any gadget in no time out of whatever happens to be lying around.
Why Is He So Dirty? He is a raccoon after all. But he's constantly getting himself in dirty situations through fights, though he does try to keep himself clean whenever possible.
His Dirtiest Moment: In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Rocket runs through the forest, taking out the Ravagers, and he got himself scuffed up and dirty doing it.
(#9) Star-Lord
- Guardians of the Galaxy
Who He Is: Peter Jason Quill was a human/alien hybrid living on Earth up to the point his mother passed. From that point, he became a Ravager who didn't mind going around the galaxy, taking whatever he could get his hands on. He named himself Star-Lord and attempted to get everyone he met to call him that. After he finds the Power Stone, he and a ragtag group of fellow lawbreakers team up to become the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Why Is He So Dirty? Peter is the kind of guy who is never clean-shaven, sleeps with a lot of random women, and keeps his ship about as nasty a place to live as you can find in the Milky Way.
His Dirtiest Moment: When he mentioned how nobody should shine a blacklight in his ship, he let everyone know he wasn't the cleanest guy in the galaxy. Here's the line in question that perfectly emphasizes how nasty Quill is about his living environment: "Filthy? She has no idea. If we had a blacklight, it would look like a Jackson Pollock painting."
(#10) The Winter Soldier
- Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Who He Is: Sergeant James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes. He served alongside his childhood chum Steve Rogers after he became Captain America. He was believed deceased but resurfaced some 70 years later as the Winter Soldier, a former Soviet/HYDRA operative.
Why Is He So Dirty? For decades, Barnes was cryogenically frozen, only to be released periodically to go on assignments. That's why he remains young more than a century after he was born. When a person is cryogenically frozen, everything on and in them is frozen as well. This includes bacteria and viral pathogens. There's a good chance he has the Spanish Flu somewhere on his person, and who knows what else?
His Dirtiest Moment: He can work up a sweat fighting, but his dirtiest moments stem from stepping in and out of his cryo-chamber.
(#11) Korg
- Planet Hulk
Who He Is: Korg is a Kronan warrior whose failed attempt at a revolution landed him in the Grandmaster's Contest of Champions. He met Miek and Thor through his new occupation, and with some help, he got his revolution. Since then, he's stayed by Thor's side, becoming one of his closest friends and allies.
Why Is He So Dirty? It's not really his fault; Korg is a self-described "pile of rocks."
His Dirtiest Moment: When he's seen on New Asgard, he's become something of a sloppy guy sitting on the couch all the time. He's also still a pile of rocks.
(#12) Ronan the Accuser
- Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel Universe
Who He Is: Ronan the Accuser was a Kree zealot who sought to clean the galaxy of the filth of Xandar (his words). He disavowed his own government following the Kree/Xandar peace treaty and sought the aid of Thanos in his pursuit of Xandar's destruction. After he acquired the Power Stone, he abandoned Thanos, attempting to wipe out Xandar himself, but was overpowered and defeated by the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Why Is He So Dirty? He bathes in a strange liquid and paints strange dark markings on his face. It looks cool, but it also looks pretty dirty.
His Dirtiest Moment: His introduction in Guardians of the Galaxy, where his so-called bathing ritual is shown.
(#13) Bruce Banner

Who He Is: Robert Bruce Banner, MD, PhD, is a brilliant scientist who accidentally turned himself into a giant, green rage monster. Through the course of his time in the MCU, he's gone from being an unstoppable destructive force to a combination of his two personalities. By Avengers: Endgame , he's the so-called "Professor Hulk."
Why Is He So Dirty? To be clear, the Hulk is not a dirty person. He may get dirty while fighting, but as we learned in Thor: Ragnarok , the Hulk does enjoy a bath every now and again. Banner, on the other hand, isn't the cleanest guy in the world. He's often sporting an unshaven look, and he doesn't spend too much time taking care of himself. You can't really blame him, seeing as he has to deal with a Hulk-out whenever he gets mad, but it'd be nice if he combed his hair once in a while.
His Dirtiest Moment: Banner was pretty dirty throughout most of Thor: Ragnarok, and he got pretty banged up and nasty in the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War when he fell into the Sanctum Sanctorum of Dr. Strange.
(#14) Ant-Man

Who He Is: Scott Edward Harris Lang was an ex-con working at Baskin Robbins when his criminal career came to light. After being canned, he decided to go on a heist, which turned out to be more of a recruiting task to make Lang the new Ant-Man. With Hank Pym's technology and training, which was also provided by the reluctant Hope van Dyne, Lang became a superhero capable of communicating with ants, shrinking to infinitesimally small stature, and becoming giant, all with the push of a button.
Why Is He So Dirty? Lang isn't a dirty guy normally, but he picks up more than enough grime shrinking down to play with ants.
His Dirtiest Moment: Anytime he was seen running through ant tunnels, but especially in the pictured scene where he grew out of fear in the middle of the yard.
(#15) Groot
- Guardians of the Galaxy
Who He Is: Groot is a Flora Colossus and the best friend of Rocket. He's a walking, talking (as long as it's saying "I am Groot") tree. But don't let his simplistic vocabulary fool you; Groot is incredibly intelligent and deadly. He can grow his limbs in an instant and is ridiculously strong. Through the course of his time in the MCU, he's perished twice but has come back each time. The first was as a sapling from his original body, and the second was after the Hulk undid Thanos' snap.
Why Is He So Dirty? Like Korg, he's made of organic material, unlike other species. Where Korg is rock, Groot is made from plant material, making him mostly tree in appearance.
His Dirtiest Moment: He regrew as a new Groot out of the soil in a pot. He literally grew from dirt, which makes him the product of it. He's dirty.
