In one of the most cringe-worthy interviews ever, Channel 4's Krishnan Guru-Murthy delved deep into Robert Downey Jr.'s past, with awkward results. RDJ was doing interviews as part of the press junket for his new movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron, when Guru-Murthy's questions suddenly veered into the personal - and strange.
Guru-Murthy asked about a statement RDJ made in 2008 concerning how his stint behind bars affected his politics. Downey didn't want to talk about it, saying, "I could pick that apart for two hours and be no closer to the truth than giving you some half-[baked] answer right now."
When Guru-Murthy asked about Downey's history of substance use and his relationship with his father, Downey decided to cut the interview short and ?walked out on the reporter.
