Wait Till Martin Comes
[ranking: 30]
An old man was out for a leisurely walk when suddenly, a terrible storm broke out. Hurriedly, he takes shelter in what appears to be an abandoned house. Upon closer inspection, however, it turns out that the house does have some resident black cats of the most unusual nature.
The Thing
[ranking: 19]
Ted and Sam were the best of friends. One fateful night, they saw - well, a thing. They couldn't exactly make out what it was at first. After overcoming their fear, they managed to get close enough to see it clearly. Yet it wouldn't be until later that they realized what the thing really was.
The White Satin Evening Gown
[ranking: 12]
The moral of this story is to never purchase clothes secondhand (sorry Plato's Closet). You just never know who the previous owner might be.
The Drum
[ranking: 5]
A gypsy with a magical drum tells two children that if they do terrible things to their mother, they can have the drum. However, the gypsy never gives them the drum, and the mother gets so fed up that she leaves and gives them a new mother with chilling glass eyes and a wooden tail.
Old Woman All Skin And Bone
[ranking: 34]
This cheerful song is about an old woman who decides to go to church to hear the parson. In the process, she comes face to face with her own mortality. Yikes.
Aaron Kelly's Bones
[ranking: 28]
In this story, "dead" is a relative term. Aaron Kelly is dead, but he sure doesn't act like it. He comes home and acts as if nothing is wrong. Well, this causes some undue hardship for his widow and some fiddler who apparently was just waiting for Aaron to die so he could swoop in and marry her. That's not creepy at all, buddy.
