  (#7) Saiki Kusuo - 'The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.'

  Saiki Kusuo is one of the most OP characters in world of anime, but he isn't happy about it. All he wants is to live an ordinary life, but his powers are constantly causing him problems. That's why he limits his powers as much as he can. In order to avoid turning everybody around him into stone, he wears special glasses which block this ability. In order to limit his powers enough that he doesn't accidentally destroy the world in his sleep, he wears two antennae on his head. With these on, his powers are still a lot stronger than he'd like, but at least they're manageable.

  Claymores carry a signature aura that can be detected by anyone with aura-sensing abilities. They also have silver eyes. In order to perform covert missions, Claymore like Clare sometimes take youma suppressant pills, which dampen her aura and make her eyes look more typical. Unfortunately, there's also a downside in terms of her power - while the suppressant is in her system, she can't easily sense the aura of youma, making it much harder for her to do her job.

  The central difficulty in Aki Izayoi's life is that she has psychic powers she finds difficult to control. These powers let her materialize duel spirits and their effects - which sometimes results in having an out of control monster rampaging around and attacking people. Because her power has hurt others, she wants to keep it under wraps as much as possible. While it's unclear whether the effect is psychological or physical, her hair pin acts to keep her powers in check.

  By the end of the series, she's gained more control over her abilities and is able to use them to her advantage.

  Hiei's Jagan Eye is the key to some of his strongest techniques, but he usually keeps it covered with a headband. Similarly, he wears bandages on his arm in order to suppress his Dragon of the Darkness Flame. He only unleashes these techniques when it's absolutely necessary. That's because without the limits, his powers are strong enough to wreck everything around him, even taking weaker beings' lives just from being in its presence. What's more, using these attacks causes him serious physical damage - his arm was not happy with him after he used Dragon of the Darkness Flame.

All of his previous forms were designed to keep his power in check. Why does he do this? Because if he taps into his massive store of power, he can't keep up with it and loses energy over the course of a long battle.

  As part of his training, Rock Lee wears weights on his legs. While most people who do this wear relatively light ones for basic conditioning, Lee's weights are so heavy that when they fall to the ground, the ground breaks. With the weights on he's already ridiculously strong and fast, but when he takes them off during his battle with Gaara he's buzzing around the stadium so fast that it's impossible to track him. This is how he manages to actually land a hit on Gaara, something no one else had been able to do, thusfar.
