  • Baby Face on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#11) Baby Face

Baby Face is a Stand operated by Melone. It's a supercomputer capable of generating homunculi that are a combination of human and Stand. After choosing a female host based on characteristics like blood type, horoscope, age, health and (for some reason) Kama Sutra preferences, the Stand impregnates the target with a homunculus called a Junior. The Junior takes about three minutes to fully develop, and is hosted not in the woman's uterus, but in her head. If a target's blood is mixed into the Junior's DNA, they'll be able to use that to hunt their target down.

While the exact characteristics of the Juniors vary, they all seem to possess the ability to break down matter and reform it into any shape they desire - for example, they once split Trish's body into cubes and then rearranged those cubes into a table. It can also split up its own body in order to blend in with its environment.

While the Juniors are quite powerful, their partially human nature means that they can disobey Melone and go rogue if they want to.

  • Chocolate Disco on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#12) Chocolate Disco

D-I-S-C-O's similarly named Stand, Chocolate Disco, lets him rapidly teleport objects to a space in a grid field by pressing a corresponding button on an armband. So, for example, he can choose to send it to a space marked B2 or F7. The object will then fall on top of the target.

He can use objects belonging to other people, or objects that belong to him. The Stand is not capable of attacking on its own, so if D-I-S-C-O doesn't have any objects to work with, he'll be at a disadvantage. He also has to be extremely precise - if he teleports an object to the wrong space, or the target manages to leave the area, he won't have any means of defending himself.

While this Stand is pretty straightforward once broken down, many fans say that they struggled to understand it as it was presented in the manga.

  • Civil War on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#3) Civil War

Civil War is confined to the closed space of a garbage dump, but if you find yourself within its territory, you're in huge trouble - that is, as long as there's anything you feel guilty about. Civil War uses its targets' feelings of guilt to manifest someone or something they've abandoned, harmed, or otherwise felt guilty about. Whoever or whatever it summons is used to attack the target, both physically and by fusing into a membrane that they try to engulf them with. The membrane shrinks until the target is completely flattened by it. Contact with the guilt-object causes the target to remember everything about their guilty feelings. The only way to dispel the objects is through water.

The Stand has another layer: if anyone in Civil War's territory - or Axl RO himself - is destroyed by the target, they can be resurrected and used to attack the person who took their life. This can be circumvented if the killer doesn't feel any guilt about what they did.

  • Awaking III Leaves on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#8) Awaking III Leaves

To use Awaking III Leaves properly, Mitsuba Higashikata needs to have some serious math and physics skills. This means that for JoJo fans who aren't mathematically inclined, the Stand might be pretty hard to track. It's able to manipulate vector space by generating arrows that move energy in the direction they're pointing towards. This can be useful for a lot of reasons, from physical attacks to expelling foreign objects - in fact, when the arrows are placed on a person, anything inside that person that isn't native to their body will be forced out. The arrows can also be stacked on top of one another to multiply the force behind them.

  • King Crimson on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#7) King Crimson

King Crimson is a complex and multifaceted Stand that's notorious for being one of the most confusing ones out there. This is partially because of not-so-clear fan translation, and partially because of the Stand itself.

Diavolo can use it for raw combat, but that's not its most noteworthy feature. The Stand can erase up to 10 seconds of whatever time frame Diavolo chooses, meaning that everything that happened within that time frame is gone and nobody has any memory of it - except, of course, for Diavolo. Afterward, the target will find themselves in whatever situation Diavolo made sure to put them in.

Using Epitaph, Diavolo can make predictions up to 10 seconds into the future. While he can't change the outcome, he can find ways to minimize damage, or even avoid it altogether if he uses his Stand to erase the right time frame.

  • Weather Report on Random Complicated Stand Abilities That Are Hard To Understand From Jojo's

    (#10) Weather Report

Weather Report would be easy enough to understand if it were restricted to its main ability - controlling the weather. By manipulating the atmosphere around it, this Stand can create wind, rain, or lightning at will. It can also increase air resistance, creating defensive barriers to protect its user, who is also named Weather Report.

But Weather Report has an additional ability called Heavy Weather, which is one of the most bizarre things in the whole series. By generating rainbows, Weather Report is somehow able to hypnotize its targets into believing that they are snails. This would be weird enough, but that belief somehow leads them to actually transform into snails. How does this work? Nobody knows.
