When you think of a superpet, Krypto more than likely is the first to come to mind. He was Superman's pet on Krypton, and like any loyal pet, found his way back to his owner on earth. Krypto has the same abilities as Superman... Lucky dog. (Adventure Comics #293, 1962) -
(#11) Ch'p
Ch'p comes from the planet H'lven the home of many intelligent creatures resembling earthly "cartoon" animals. Technically a member of the Green Lantern corps he's never really identified as either a squirrel or a chipmunk. We just know he's adorable and worthy of a spot on this list. (#17) Aquadog
Aquaman and Mera's Pet dog that they rescued from the monster known as Trench. After they rescue the pup they are visited by the deputy who told them about Trench, he jokes they should name him Aquadog. Ironically the retriever can't swim. (Aquaman #2, 2011) -
(#6) Zabu
Zabu, the only known living saber-tooth tiger in the Marvel universe, is the loyal companion and ally to Ka-Zar. Zabu saved Ka-Zar from a group of human Savage Land natives when he was a boy (then known as Kevin Plunder). Zabu was exposed to radioactive mists that gave him near-human intellect. (#3) Lockjaw
Lockjaw, who resembles a large bulldog, was infected by the Terrigen Mists, which gave him the abilities to teleport, have super strength, ingest matter, and even predict the future. He's a prominent member of the Inhumans, and acts as the escort to the Royal Family of the Inhumans... and is of course their best friend. (Fantastic Four #45, 1965) -
(#8) Dawg
Someone call PETA right now! Okay, well... maybe not. Dawg is the pet bulldog of DC's Lobo. Though, if you ask Lobo, he'll probably deny it. Lobo was so tired of denying his ownership of Dawg to Superman, that he stomped Dawg to death. Or did he? Dawg was later seen traveling with Lobo as he went to earth to fight Green Lantern and Atrocitus. Can't keep a good pooch down. (Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special #1, 1991)
