  • (#11) Pitweiler

How They're Made: Rottweiler + Pit Bull = Pitweiler

The two dogs that are most often identified as dangerous are the Pit Bull and Rotweiller. Unfortunately, when you breed the two, they produce one of the cutest animals around. These dogs have the same traits of their parents, which include guarding, tracking, obedience, and agility.

Pitweillers can live for up to 15 years, and they are muscular and well-balanced dogs. They take to training and socialization well enough, so all they need is some TLC for them to be excellent companions and faithful dogs for any family.

How They're Made: Golden Retriever + Pit Bull = Golden Bull

Golden Retrievers are loyal and intelligent dogs, but so are Pits, which means a pairing of the two makes for an incredibly loyal and loving animal called a Golden Bull. They make great pets for families of all sizes, and they tend to get along well with children.

When they are in a happy home, they make their humans their number one priority. These mixes are relatively common, so you can usually find them in a shelter without having to go to the trouble of breeding one yourself.

How They're Made: Springer Spaniel + Pit Bull = Springer Pit

An English Springer Spaniel and an American Pit Bull Terrier couple to make a Springer Pit, which amounts to a medium-sized dog with a medium-length coat. They take their coloration from either/both parents, so there is a ton of variety in their appearance.

These dogs are packed with muscle and energy, so they require a lot of attention and room to run around and play. They tend to look more like their Pit parent than the Spaniel, and they can be easily trained by beginners. Unfortunately, they can develop anxiety if left alone for long periods of time, which can result in some destructive behavior.

How They're Made: Bulldog + Pit Bull = Bullypit

Pit Bulls and Bulldogs are both intelligent dogs, so a combo of the two makes for an easily trainable dog capable of being a watchdog or a great family pet. They are relatively large in terms of Pit mixes, and they can live up to 13 years, which is fairly long for either of these breeds.

They tend to have a happy demeanor and cheerful personality, which makes them wonderful pets. They aren't aggressive and can be trained to be obedient to everyone living in the home. Bullypits do require a lot of attention to keep them happy, so don't adopt one if you can't spend a ton of time playing with them throughout the day.
