  • Bosch on Random CES 2020 Booths That Blew Us Away

    (#5) Bosch

    • Brand/Company

Engineering giant Bosch also had some AI-guided mobility tech on display, including eBikes and a shared mobility vehicle similar to LG's. But Bosch's innovations centered mostly around safety — their "virtual visor" analyzes the position of a driver's eyes and uses that information to shade only the area of their view that would otherwise be blinded by glare from the sun, eliminating one of the biggest threats to driver safety. They've also developed airbags that react to the position that various passengers take in the car, maximizing their effectiveness.

  • Delta on Random CES 2020 Booths That Blew Us Away

    (#6) Delta

Most of the press buzz about Delta was about the exoskeletons they're developing to help workers lift heavy machinery with greater ease. But in our opinion, what really stole the show was their development of a "parallel viewing experience" that personalizes display screens at airports and on planes for individual passengers. This technology will make it so that when two different people are looking at the same screen, each of them will only see the information relevant to them (e.g. seat number or connecting flight), even if they're standing right next to one another.

  • Panasonic Corporation on Random CES 2020 Booths That Blew Us Away

    (#4) Panasonic Corporation

Panasonic had a tremendous presence at CES 2020, demonstrating everything from connected vehicles to state-of-the-art turntables. But the truly immersive part of their exhibit was the smart home technology they were showing off. The company illustrated how connected sensors in your home can observe your behavior and adjust appliances, lights, and utility usage accordingly. Panasonic even showed how sensors can be used to analyze the signs of physical stress using an interactive yoga studio. Participants were invited to try some light yoga poses and watch how the stretching affected their physical stress signals.

  • John Deere on Random CES 2020 Booths That Blew Us Away

    (#1) John Deere

    • Brand/Company

Success in farming often hinges on efficiency, the kind of efficiency that only advanced technology can bring. John Deere is acutely aware of that fact, which is why they consistently put on an amazing show at CES every year. This year they brought their R4038 self-propelled sprayer, which we didn't get to see in action, but were nonetheless impressed by — mostly because it's a truly gigantic piece of technology. The photo you see here only captures the portion of the vehicle's 120-foot boom that would fit in the frame.

  • Google on Random CES 2020 Booths That Blew Us Away

    (#7) Google

    • Brand/Company

Google showed off their smart home technology with a charming tiny home on the Las Vegas Convention Center floor. Exhibitors in white overalls demonstrated how everything in the home from the dishwasher, to the dryer, to the TV, to the lighting, to the air conditioning, to the scent diffusor (if you have one of those) can be connected to one another through Google Assistant. It was a truly lovely experience, but unfortunately, we were told that we couldn't stay in the home indefinitely because it turns out we were not the only ones at the convention who wanted to look at it.

  • United States Postal Service on Random CES 2020 Booths That Blew Us Away

    (#2) United States Postal Service

    • Government Agency

Snail mail may be one of the oldest communication technologies still in popular use today, but that didn't stop the USPS from bringing their "A" Game to Las Vegas this year. The federal service was touting their new direct mail system to marketers who might otherwise consider dropping the traditional channel with a skeeball arcade that was shaped like a giant mailbox. We're not sure how skeeball is related to sending people advertisements through the mail, but boy, did we have fun trying to figure it out!
