(#4) Kendall Roy
- Succession
Despite his bald attempts to oust his father, Kendall remains the heir apparent to his father at the start of Season 2. He went to business school, worked through Waystar ranks, and in his best moments seems to sincerely want what's best for the company. Given Kendall's standing among certain members of the Waystar board - and Waystar competitors - he retains a strong chance of taking over.
-
(#13) Connor Roy
- Succession
At the end of Season 1, Connor Roy announced his desire to run for president. It's clear he's ambitious, and it's clear he has some version of the family's best interests at heart after hosting them at his ranch, Austerlitz, for a healing session/PR event. Just how far Connor is willing to go in pursuit of his own nebulous goals remains unclear - but worthy of note.
-
(#6) Roman Roy
- Succession
Obviously, Roman Roy's made some mistakes with the power he's been given. But, at the same time, Roman's hungry for more responsibility at the company, and he eagerly accepts the projects and positions thrown his way. That, and he never votes against his father, illustrated perhaps most crucially when he's a "no" in the no-confidence vote against Logan orchestrated by Kendall. Roman's loyalty to his father and the company make him a strong, albeit unintuitive, heir.
-
(#2) Marcia Roy
- Succession
At the start of Season 2, Marcia remains a steely mystery. She's fiercely protective of Logan, and it's clear she has his confidence - as well as knowledge of operations related to Waystar Royco that remain hidden from view. Given her close relationship with Logan and her proximity to business secrets, Marcia makes sense as the official successor.

(#10) Sandy Furness
Sandy Furness is Logan Roy's biggest corporate rival, and he was all too happy to participate in the plot to overthrow Logan when Kendall came calling. He's got the capital, the chops, and the desire to take Logan Roy down. Sandy Furness at the helm of Waystar would be a natural, and logical, fit.
