The Eloise Asylum in Westland, MI, was essentially a little city. At one time it had 75 buildings, including a bakery, a post office, and a cemetery. The asylum was eventually reduced to four buildings, and converted for use as an offices.
Today, the buildings and on-site playground seem a little spooky. Voices are heard, lights turn on and off, and growls and moans sound. A woman in white has also been spotted roaming the property.
