We were sent to the same training for work. I'd seen her the previous few days but hadn't spoken to her. A few of us went to the pub at the end of the day and she at was one of them. We started talking there. Eventually everyone else left and it was just us. We spoke for an hour or two. On the way home, I stopped at the bottle shop and bought some beer and went home. When I got home I gave my house mate a beer and said, "Here, have a beer, we're celebrating."
"Celebrating what?" he said. And I said, "I just met the girl I'm going to marry.
We got engaged three months later, married 18 months after that, and celebrated our seven year wedding anniversary last November.

It just was. It wasn’t after an act of physical pleasure, or after some significant event. We were hanging out thinking about grabbing a bite to eat and just talking. At some point it clicked that this was it. It wasn’t that I could live with her or deal with her, but rather I couldn’t see myself without her. Every girl before that was, "I could see this working out" or "Man it would be great if we lasted a while." This was the first time I couldn’t imagine it a different way.
