  • (#10) David Cameron Caught Talking Smack About Other Countries at Queen's Birthday Party

Before an international anti-corruption summit in 2016, British Prime Minister David Cameron was caught telling the Queen of England that the other countries in attendance were "fantastically corrupt." The conversation took place during her 90th birthday celebration at Buckingham Palace. As if that wasn't bad enough, he singled out specific countries, Afghanistan and Nigeria, as being especially corrupt.

  • (#4) Chris Matthews Creeps on Melania Trump During MSNBC Broadcast

During MSNBC's 2016 coverage of Donald Trump's primary victory speech in Indiana, Chris Matthews was caught on a live mic making some repulsively sexist comments about Melania Trump.  MSNBC co-anchor Brian Williams quickly cut to a commercial. Matthews received widespread criticism for being sexist and creepy, but that's nothing new for him. He's been making crude comments about women for years

  • (#9) Carly Fiorina Says Barbara Boxer's Hair Is 'So Yesterday' Before Interview

The morning after winning the California Republican Senate Primary in 2010, Carly Fiorina messed up real bad with a petty comment about her opponent, incumbent Senator Barbara Boxer. During preparations for an interview with a CNN affiliate, Fiorina was caught laughing at Boxer's hairstyle to her aides. She lost even more points with the people of California by trying to laugh it off and saying that criticizing female politicians' looks "goes with the territory" on Fox News. Ultimately, Fiorina lost to Boxer.

  • (#8) Ronald Reagan Jokes About Bombing Russia Before a Radio Address in 1984

It's been decades since President Ronald Reagan made a joke about bombing Russia while testing his mic before a scheduled radio address in 1984. Reagan's joke greatly unnerved many people, considering his militaristic approach to the USSR and the fact that the Cold War was at its height. Reagan's approval ratings took a hit and put his reelection in question. It was by no means the first time his sense of humor got him into trouble

  • (#18) Two Senators Caught Calling President Donald Trump Crazy

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Sen. Jack Reed (D-Rhode Island) were caught discussing President Donald Trump on a hot mic after a Senate subcommittee hearing on July 25. The hearing was on the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development subcommittee agenda, and took up budgetary issues.

"I think - I think he's crazy," Reed said referring to the President. "I mean, I don't say that lightly and as a kind of goofy guy."

    "I'm worried," Collins responded.

They went on to discuss the craziness of Trump's proposed budget, and the sexism aimed at Collins by a fellow senator.

  • (#12) Reporters Roast Sarah Palin After CSU-Stanislaus Speech

In 2010, Sarah Palin gave a speech at CSU-Stanislaus. While the night was plagued with several difficulties, at the end of the speech, a hot mic managed to catch reporters tearing her apart. They also compared her speech to a poorly written college paper stuffed with unnecessary quotes.
