  Poor, poor Shireen. She offers her help to her father, Stannis Baratheon, not knowing he's plotting with Melisandre to sacrifice her to the Lord of Light to ensure they survive a winter storm. This sweet young girl is tied to a stake and burned alive. Her death melts the snow, but scores of Stannis's soldiers desert his army in disgust.

  Kraznys mo Nakloz traded 8,000 Unsullied slave soldiers to Daenerys Targaryen for her dragon, Drogon. When Daenerys orders the Unsullied to kill all the slavers in Astapor and free their slaves, Kraznys shouts what end up being his last words, to no avail. The Unsullied ignore him and Drogon gives him some serious dragon breath.

  After seeing Baelish kiss Sansa Stark, Lysa Arryn goes mad with jealousy and dangles Sansa over the Moon Door, believing she is trying to steal Petyr. She seethes and Petyr talks her into releasing Sansa but then (twist!) shoves Lysa through the Moon Door, where she plummets to her death.

Arya executes Littlefinger as he begs for mercy.

Before the Mountain chops her head off, Missandei defiantly yells "Dracarys," a command Daenerys takes quite literally in the penultimate episode of the series.

  Tommen Baratheon was a kinder, gentler king than his older brother Joffrey. But that meant he couldn't handle the machinations of his mother, Cersei. After seeing her torch the Sept of Baelor with scores of nobles inside – including his wife, Margaery – Tommen commits suicide.

  Thoros of Myr was quite the drinker, and he stayed that way right up until the bitter end. The red priest accompanied Jon Snow beyond the Wall on their ill-fated quest to capture a wight, and ended up getting mauled by an undead bear for his troubles. He ultimately succumbed to the cold and his wounds.

  Pyat Pree welcomes Daenerys home only to chain her in the House of the Undying. Daenerys responds that her home is across the sea where her people are waiting for her. Pyat thinks they're in for a wait longer than a line at the DMV and Khaleesi does not think this is funny. She responds by commanding her dragons to incinerate him.

  The conniving Walder Frey gets a true slice of, uh, humble pie. A disguised Arya Stark serves him his own murdered sons in a meat pie, and reveals her identity before slitting his throat. To add insult to injury, she later impersonates him while poisoning his entire family.

That, ultimately, was her downfall: Cersei burned her alive in the Sept of Baelor, along with countless other nobles.

  Melisandre makes her return to Westeros to help the North defeat the White Walkers in "The Long Night" (Season 8, episode 3). As she helps the soldiers by lighting their weapons and trenches on fire, she comes across a despondant Arya. She encourages Arya to go save Bran from the Night King with this question.

  After Arya defeats the Night King, Daenerys cradles a dying Jorah in her arms, during which he mumbles his final words.

  As the Red Keep crumbles around Jaime Lannister and his twin sister, he attempts to soothe her. Even when she was at her worst, Jaime had always loved Cersei, and in the end, she was truly the only thing that mattered to him.

  After Daenerys decimates King's Landing with Drogon, Jon Snow starts to believe what Varys and Tyrion have been trying to say: Dany is more concerned with power than the common man, and her tyranny must be ended before it starts. 

  Jon tries to reason wtih Daenerys, at which point she gives him a speech about knowing what is good and how fate led them here. As they embrace, Jon shoves a dagger into her torso, and a shocked Daenerys is laid on the floor feet away from the Iron Throne.

  Theon Greyjoy redeems himself during "The Long Night" (Season 8 episode 3) as he defends Bran from the impending White Walker invasion. Theon's men are picked off one by one until only he is left. Bran comes out of a warg state and tells Theon that he is a "good man," at which point Theon unsuccessfully charges the Night King.

  Euron Greyjoy says these self-congratulatory words as a critically injured Jaime limps away from their battle. Euron lays on the ground bleeding out, laughing as he delivers the ridiculous line. Even with his last breath, Euron had to make sure he was getting in someone's head.
