  • Tantauco National Park, Chile on Random Places That Google Earth Won't Let You See

    (#4) Tantauco National Park, Chile

The park, a privately-owned nature reserve, can only be seen from afar. Zooming in closer doesn't change anything. The best guess as to why it's partially obscured on Google Maps relates to the fact it's a home to several endangered species of animals, but not even that fully explains the matter. Perhaps there are animals there that aren't supposed to exist (dun dun dunnn)...

It's Kim Jong Un; are you really expecting a rational explanation?
  • Reims Airbase, France on Random Places That Google Earth Won't Let You See

    (#17) Reims Airbase, France

No one said the French were perfectly comprehensible folks.
  • Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant, New York on Random Places That Google Earth Won't Let You See

About This Tool

Google Earth is the electronic map software produced by the Internet giant Google. With the help of satellite images, Google Earth provides people with most of the satellite images of the earth’s locations, but there are also some places that Google Earth does not want people to see, so they do Mosaic or other special processing. Such as Amsterdam, the Royal Palace of the Netherlands. People can clearly see the trees on the ground and even the pedestrians on the street, but they cannot see the detailed images of the palace.

If you have never played Google Earth, whether for fun or for serious educational significance, you have missed too many interesting things. Satellite images allow people to capture a lot of interesting things. There are 25 places that Google Earth won't let you see.
