    The Riddle:

    Sam is talking to his lawyer in jail. They are very upset because the judge has refused to grant bail. At the end of the conversation Sam is allowed to leave the jail. Why?

    It was a hot summer afternoon when the owner of the house was found dead by the pool. A detective came to interview his wife and maid. The maid said she found him all wet, and saw him swimming with his wife in the morning. His wife said that after swimming in the morning she went shopping downtown. Who is lying? 

     

    The Solution: 

    The maid is lying about him being wet, because he would have dried up in the summer sun.

    The Riddle:

    A man was found deceased with a cassette recorder in one hand and a gun in the other. When the police came in, they immediately pressed the play button on the cassette and heard the man say, "I have nothing else to live for. I can't go on," then the sound of a shot. After listening to the cassette tape, the police knew someone else did it. How did they know?

     

    The Solution: 

    How would he rewind the tape if he took his own life? 

  • (#6) Power Outage

    The Riddle: 

    The power was out all over town when Jim was in the hospital. After the power came back on, a nurse entered the room and found Jim had been stabbed. The police questioned the nurse, a cleaning woman, Jim's doctor, and Jim's wife. The nurse said she was in the doctor's lounge until the power came back. The cleaning woman said she was having tea in the staff room. The doctor said he was speaking to a patient. And Jim's wife said she was buying food at the hospital's vending machine. Who did it? 

     

    The Solution: 

    Jim's wife, because she couldn't buy food at a vending machine if the power was out. 

  • (#7) Much Like The Air

    The Riddle:

    It cannot be seen whenever it's there. It fills up a room, and is much like the air. It cannot be touched, and there's nothing to hear. It is quite harmless - there's nothing to fear. What is it?

     

    The Solution: 

    The darkness. 

  • (#5) Who Survived?

    The Riddle:

    Every single person died in a plane crash. Who survived?

     

    The Solution: 

    Married couples.
