The Riddle:

When the police came in, they immediately pressed the play button on the cassette and heard the man say, "I have nothing else to live for. I can't go on," then the sound of a shot. After listening to the cassette tape, the police knew someone else did it. How did they know?

The Riddle:
It was a hot summer afternoon when the owner of the house was found dead by the pool. A detective came to interview his wife and maid. The maid said she found him all wet, and saw him swimming with his wife in the morning. His wife said that after swimming in the morning she went shopping downtown. Who is lying?
The Solution:
The maid is lying about him being wet, because he would have dried up in the summer sun.
