Foo Fighters was formed by Dave Grohl, the former drummer of the American classic rock band NIRVANA. After Nirvana disbanded following Kurt Cobain's suicide in 1994, Dave Grohl, a drummer in the band, began planning for his own music career, so he founded Foo Fighters.
