What Is BPD? According to PSYCOM, a person with borderline personality disorder has "inappropriate or extreme emotional reactions, highly impulsive behaviors, and a history of unstable relationships."

Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty is one of the most evil of all Disney villains. But viewers have to question where her evilness comes from. Is it rooted in her mental illness? It all seems to go downhill for Maleficent when she is not invited to Aurora's baptism. She is hurt and upset, and while mentally stable people would be able to handle these emotions, Maleficent feels putting a curse on Princess Aurora and everyone in the kingdom is a better choice.

One could argue that her reaction is not only incredibly impulsive, but irrationally motivated by her feelings as well. Maleficent is not able to reign in her anger or pain, which results in her erratic and unreasonable decision to go on a cursing rampage against her whole community. Her relationship history may seem short to the viewer, but given how many people her evil affected, it is safe to assume she does not have many healthy, loving, beneficial relationships. Additionally, she has to change into a dragon in order to handle any major emotional situations.
