  Ralph Fiennes told Bravo's Andy Cohen his favorite part of working on the Harry Potter franchise was a behind-the-scenes confirmation of how scary he was:

  The best moment I ever had was when I was walking backstage and the son of the script supervisor, he was about 5 or 6, and I just walked past him in my Voldemort makeup and he just burst into tears.

  Devon Murray told Crooked Llama he spent every birthday from age 11 to 22 on the Harry Potter set, and the first one was his favorite:

  We were on location for Flitwick's levitation class. And it was the day I got to blow up the feather. So as soon as we finished filming, [producer] David Heyman brought in the biggest chocolate cake I'd ever seen in my life. It was huge. First of all, we had a party at lunch hour, then we had a party again when we finished filming. And I got to keep the feather I got to blow up. David Heyman gave me lots of different presents. And everybody was giving presents. And it was just really, really fun.

  Bonnie Wright told The Tab she liked her very first filmed scene:

  I guess... the super early experiences, like my first day on set that was at Platform 9 3/4 at King's Cross. It was such a new world that I was stepping into... I didn't know what we were meant to do, or where we were meant to stand and how we were meant to be.

  And even from that moment it was such a warm environment to be in. It was so welcoming and I was made to feel like I knew what I was doing and not patronized. And I think that was a good thing for all of us. We were all so young and yet we were respected in the fact that we were acting and working, too. I think that really enabled us to grow into ourselves and be confident.

  Daniel Radcliffe over the years has said he recalls "so many very, very good memories" from filming the series, but one does tend to stick out, as he told a HollywoodLife interviewer:

  I have one... weird, surreal moment I'll carry with me my entire life. One morning I came in and Gary Oldman taught me how to play the bass line to "Come Together" by the Beatles, on bass guitar that I was learning at the time, and he also played bass. So I had a bass lesson from Gary Oldman one morning - that was pretty great.

  Evanna Lynch told Eva Karpman, young host of the Dream Big podcast, that her favorite memory was meeting J.K. Rowling for the first time. The two had actually been writing letters to each other, as pen pals, before Lynch was cast, but they didn't meet in person until Rowling visited the set:

  I absolutely loved her world and I just was so overwhelmed... They didn't tell me she was coming in that day. And I was just sitting in the makeup chair getting my makeup done. It was all very surreal anyway; I was still pinching myself... She just walked into the room and I didn't register that it was her, because, you think, she's just this amazingly talented, super famous legendary writer. But she's so small in real life; she's just a normal lady. And I was like, how could all this come from one person?

  After Rupert Grint told Collider he enjoyed shutting down Piccadilly Circus, "the busiest part of London," to film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, he said his most memorable moment from the whole series was probably his first time on set: 

  I’ll always remember that. 'Cause all of a sudden really I was just on a film set and I never really knew how films were made and everything was just so new and exciting... It was actually the last scene of the first film, so that was kind of strange. By the train, on the platform. So yeah, it was weird.
