About This Tool

The New Zealand Liberal Party was formally established in the 1891, but has existed informally since the general election of 1890. Even now it is harder to find news online. But the New Zealand Liberal Party, yes, it did exist.

The New Zealand Liberal Party and the Conservative Party are two opposing parties. The Liberal Party advocates liberalism, calls for free trade and free politics. But this was not accepted by most people at the time, and by the time the New Zealand National Party was formed in 1936, it had made some name changes. The random tool generated a list of 177 liberals, including when they joined the Party, reference pictures and full names. Understand these people’s thinking, I believe you will have a better understanding of the Liberal Party.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of New Zealand Liberal Party MPs.
