What’s Parkrun? Running in the park, as the name suggests, but not just in the park; it gives you the feel of a race but not a race. Parkrun’s founder, Paul David Zinman Hewitt, was born in Zimbabwe, grew up in South Africa and later moved to Britain. He’s been a runner since he was a kid, and his personal best in the marathon was 2:36. In 2004, Hewitt, who had to stop running because of an injury, became depressed. So he decided to organize an event for him and his running buddies to get together.
