About This Tool
The Gambia was a British colony and became independent in 1965. So far has accepted the traditional British education model, and accepted the advanced British educational philosophy. There are two main types of schools in the area, the Muslim-run Qur ‘a school and the western-style school run by Christian missionaries. The local government has encouraged people to fund schools, so there are plenty of private schools. The generator tool keeps a list of 16 local schools that are functioning properly for easy reference.
In these lists of schools, we can randomly look at important information such as the location, type, grade, and age of the students in each school. The local government spends about 10% of its budget on education each year. Other educational expenditures need to be funded and donated by other people.
