About This Tool

The absence of a prescribed curriculum at the pre-primary and lower secondary levels in Northern Ireland gives schools the opportunity to follow a curriculum that is culturally appropriate to them. This, in turn, means that there is considerable inequality and that children are not given first-hand access to and experience Irish history. Since then, the government has been revamping its local education philosophy and redesigning the standardized curriculum, which was piloted first among the 196 secondary schools recorded in the random tool and received good feedback.

The development of these standardized curricula has contributed to a better understanding of the history, future development and professional skills of Northern Ireland at the secondary level. If you look further in this generatorl, you’ll see more complete school names, cities and districts, key sectors and types, DENI reference numbers, and more.

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of secondary schools in Northern Ireland.
