(#8) He Was A Prankster On The Set Of 'Power Rangers'
Fellow Power Ranger David Yost (the Blue Ranger) recalled his on-set "best friend" fondly despite a few of the pranks Frank pulled on him, which he admitted "seem extreme." He drew on Yost's trailer couch, broke a hair brush over his head, and once tricked Yost into eating a sandwich with a fly in it. In return, Yost babysat his kids so Frank and his wife could go out and have date nights. In an interview with the Huffington Post, Yost said the relationship wasn't as one-sided as it sounds.

(#1) A Guy Tried To Assassinate Him At Phoenix Comic-Con
In May of 2017, Jason David Frank was at the Phoenix Comic-Con when a man entered the conference wearing body armor and strapped with at least three guns and a knife. According to People, the man was "booked for one count of attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, wearing body armor during the commission of a felony, resisting arrest and carrying a weapon in a prohibited place."
Though he explicitly said he was there to kill Frank, he allegedly had a reminder set on his phone to "Kill JDF." After the incident, Frank expressed his gratitude for the Phoenix police, suggesting heightened security for future Comic-Cons, and perhaps the banning of prop weapons.
Frank then assured his fans of his well-being, saying: "You will start hearing stuff on social media. I’m fine. I’m okay. Love y’all. Even though it looks like things don’t faze me, I refuse to have a situation tear me apart mentally. You gotta remember, things could always be worse. Things could’ve been worse. But it wasn’t. You know, everyone is safe, things are okay, and it’s a great thing."

(#2) Jean-Claude Van Damme Provoked Him Into A Physical Altercation
Both Frank and Van Damme appeared at a Comic-Con in Mexico in 2017 and were supposed to share a green room despite the fact that Frank had once publicly challenged Van Damme to a fight, a challenge that went unaddressed. Frank apparently assumed that wouldn't be an issue, but he found himself in a confusing altercation. After spending his allotted time in the Con, Frank returned to their supposedly shared green room to find it full and blocked off. After being reassigned to another room, one of Van Damme's associates came to him asking if he'd be willing to take a picture with Van Damme. He agreed, but when he got to Van Damme's room, he found an entire production crew with lights and cameras rolling.
Frank recalled Van Damme saying: "'Hey, you like writing articles about people, you want to beat my a**? You gonna apologize for that?' and I said 'Nope.' He goes 'You think you can still beat my a**?' and I said, 'Yeah.'"
Frank said he then pinned Van Damme against the wall, asking him if he really wanted to fight. When Van Damme didn't respond, he released him, at which point Van Damme apparently started threatening again. That's when Van Damme's security stepped in, which prompted Van Damme to get even more vociferous, dropping an F-bomb on Frank. Frank offered to fight him for real and Van Damme continued to demure. Frank said he wasn't going to let Van Damme "punk him," and it seems he succeeded.

(#5) He Once Set The World Record For Most Pine Boards Broken During Freefall
Mike Janela of Guinness World Records documented his experience as the adjudicator of Jason David Frank's 2013 attempt to set the World Record for Most Pine Boards Broken During Free Fall. Yes, as in breaking boards while you free fall from the sky after jumping out of a plane. You'd be forgiven for assuming this was the only such attempt, thus ensuring his status as World Record holder, but there actually was an existing record... of two.
He had to break more than two boards during free fall in order to capture the record, which he did, as he broke seven. Now, it's not exactly as easy as it sounds because "free fall" doesn't mean the entire duration of the jump, but specifically the moment when he reached maximum downward velocity until he pulled the parachute - although, the description by the adjudicator makes it sound as though his "free fall" began the moment he jumped out of the plane.
Unfortunately for Frank, his free-fall record was broken just five months later.

(#10) 'Jesus Didn't Tap' Is His Christian-Based Mixed Martial Arts Company
Frank was a co-founder of an MMA apparel company called "Jesus Didn't Tap," which offers Christian-themed fighting equipment. Speaking about the company name, Frank explained in an interview: "That means he didn't quit, he didn't give up - tap out. He could have tapped, snapped any time. He could have just called thousands and thousands of angels if he wanted to." The company name is tattooed on his forearm.

(#7) He Was Very Much Into His Power Rangers Legacy
You can pretty much describe Jason David Frank as a Professional Power Ranger. He made appearances at countless conventions, and regularly spoke in interviews about how much he enjoyed his fan base, and the attention of said fans at various events. In his defense, he was apparently a nice guy. Mike Janela of Guinness World Records said meeting Frank "could’ve easily turned into me meeting a legitimate childhood idol, only to learn he’d grown bitter and full of contempt for playing a role that provided a seminal part of my youth. Instead, he was a great guy, a fun and gracious person."
