They??re unwilling to admit when they??re wrong.
[ranking: 1]
We??re all wrong sometimes, but the important thing is to one, be capable of identifying when you??re in the wrong and two, be able to own and apologize for it.
They take several hours to respond to your texts but every time you??re with them in person they??re constantly on their phone.
[ranking: 2]
I mean, not everyone is good at texting and some people are busy, so they don??t have their phone in hand 24-7. But if they always seem to have their phone out when they??re around you, then it sure is unlikely that they??re any less interested in their phone when they??re not around you. Whether it means they??re spending time with someone else or are more interested in everything other than you when you??re together, there might be an issue here.
You dislike the person you are when you??re around them.
[ranking: 3]
If you aren??t able to be yourself and feel you must put a fa?ade on around the person you??re dating, recognize that there??s something causing you to change. You can only fake it for so long, so this red flag can??t be ignored.
They??re not supportive of/bash your hobbies, goals or aspirations.
[ranking: 4]
This is pretty cut and dried. If someone doesn??t support your dreams or bashes the things you enjoy, then obviously there??s no real need to pursue or be involved in any type of relationship, much less a romantic one.
They??re rude to employees at places you go.
[ranking: 5]
Waiters at restaurants, cashiers when shopping, ushers at events - if someone is rude to these types of people, it says a lot about their character and the nightmare they might be in private.
They are beginning talking to/hooking up with you as their actual relationship is allegedly or actually ending.
[ranking: 6]
As the saying goes, if they??ll do it with you, they??ll do it to you.
They take days to respond to your texts.
[ranking: 7]
Look, not everyone is good at texting, and some people are busy, so they take a while to get to their phone, but if it??s taking someone days to respond, it??s a safe bet that they??re occupied elsewhere on a level that wouldn??t allow you the attention or time you??re seeking.
They??re always too busy to make plans.
[ranking: 8]
Whether they outright say they??re too busy or they just seem to be constantly avoiding you, you??ve got to recognize that if a person wants to make time, they absolutely will. This is especially alarming if they only contact you at random for impromptu hangouts, because that??s an indicator that you??re one of multiple options, which is why they aren??t willing to commit a chunk of time to you in advance.
They??re flaky.
[ranking: 9]
As annoying as it may be, outright canceling well in advance is always better than blowing someone off at the last minute. If a person doesn??t value your time and shows the inability to be reliable, chances are they don??t really value you, and you should head straight for the exits.
They constantly trash their exes.
[ranking: 10]
Not only is it concerning when someone is forever talking about their exes, it??s even further alarming when each of those exes was allegedly a terrible person. It??d be a coincidence for someone to continuously find and get romantically involved with problematic people, and it??s likely that they lack self-awareness, or simply choose to ignore their issues.
Self proclaimed ??nice?? people.
[ranking: 11]
Anyone who has to claim to be a ??nice guy/girl?? or states things that would normally go without saying, like ??I hate drama?? should draw caution.
They don??t have their own hobbies, goals or aspirations separate from you.
[ranking: 12]
This is an issue because when people don??t have their own personal ambitions, they won??t understand yours.
