The Bustermarm, a sword owned by Panther Lily, is best known for its gargantuan mass. At nearly four times the size of its wielder, it's a sight to behold. It's also incredibly sharp, boasting the ability to slice through materials such as iron.
Despite its awesome strength, Gajeel Redfox manages to break it during a fight.
Mugen - 'D.Gray-Man'

Mugen is an Innocence, which means it's a holy device capable of taking down akuma, a form of demon. Wielded by Yu Kanda, this device can take on a variety of forms, but largely sticks to traditional Japanese swords.
When Kanda transfers his blood to Mugen, he can repair anything that has marred the sword, ensuring it's in top condition as long as he is.
Toyako Bokuto - 'Gintama'

Actual swords are banned by the Bakufu, so Gintoki has to use a wooden sword, the Toyako Bokuto, instead. Gintoki claims to have purchased it on a school trip to Lake Toya, but its actual origin is far more interesting. It was created from the wood of a mythical tree on another planet that's over 10,000 years old.
The weapon is capable of cutting through most materials, including things that are harder and denser than wood.
Wad?? Ichimonji - 'One Piece'

Wad?? Ichimonji is one of the 33 greatest swords in the world of One Piece. It's tough enough to withstand Dracule Mihawk's Yoru, which is capable of making mincemeat of ships and icebergs. Because it's so powerful, its owner, Roronoa Zoro, is constantly working to protect it from people who want to take it either for themselves or hate the idea of a pirate owning it.
To Zoro, the Wad?? Ichimonji is important not just for its immense power, but because it belonged to his childhood friend, Kuina.
Zangetsu - 'Bleach'

Zangetsu is Ichigo's Zanpakuto, a device with powers that vary depending on the contents of the user's soul. Their primary function is to help Shinigami bring stray souls to the afterlife. Zangetsu is the first Zanpakuto in the Bleach universe to take on a human form.
Specifically, his form represents Ichigo's hidden, darker thoughts and emotions.
Sakabato - 'Rurouni Kenshin'

Unlike Himura Kenshin's previous swords, the Sakabato is designed to be nearly impossible to wipe out with due to its reversed blade. This blade is impressive not because of its power, but because it represents Kenshin's resolve.
He aims to put his violent past behind him and never slay again.
