Vlogger Natasha Lee debuted her oh-so-disgusting pimple nails in October 2017. The manicure is easy to do: simply add some hand cream in between layers of polish to create poppable "zits." The result is a little too real, unless you love those blemish removal videos.
NSFW Eyeliner

This... unique eyeliner look started off as a gag, but it quickly caught on. You can thank Asia Brautigam for this NSFW trend. She started ??d*ckliner?? after she saw all the various creative eye looks on social media and figured she??d have a go, too. Since Brautigam drew her first member, thousands of others have followed suit.
Bubble Nails

Ever wondered what it looked like to have gumballs stuck to your nails? Well, now you don??t have to. The bubble nail trend first came out around 2009, but didn??t become a thing until 2015. It's basically impossible to DIY, though, because it's essentially a mound of acrylic layers on your nail bed.
Clumpy Mascara

Clumpy mascara was long considered a beauty faux pas, but that changed in 2015. Taking a cue from '60s icons like Twiggy, makeup artists began creating jagged, spidery lashes. Even Maybelline launched a clumpy mascara look. It's certainly noticeable, though undeniably messy.
Lollipop Lips

Mac Cosmetics came up with a look they call ??lollipop lips.?? Essentially, it's artfully feathered lip color that's supposed to look like the wearer has been sucking on a lollipop. But plenty of people think it looks messy, or like a rash.
Nail Polish Mountains

Nail polish mountains were born as a YouTube challenge. Beauty experts were dared to try to slather on 100 layers of various products, from foundation to hair extensions. Nail artist Cristine managed to get 116 coats of polish slathered onto her nails; another person painted on 280. But then you're stuck with glob-encased fingers that are essentially ineffective.
Ear Makeup

You put makeup on your face, right? So, why not put makeup on your ears? Ear makeup was born on the runway, but it has trickled down to the masses and beauty junkies everywhere are trying out this trend. It seems like it would just get makeup in your hair, but to each their own.
Hangover Makeup

The word "hangover" isn't really synonymous with "gorgeous," but in 2015, hangover makeup was all the rage in Japan and Korea. Luckily, you don't actually have to get drunk to try the look out.
Hangover makeup is essentially a combination of two trends. One is a ??puffy eye?? makeup illusion intended to make the wearer look ??playful;?? the other is a ??sick face?? look that involves pale skin and red eyes. It's not for everyone, but it's definitely unique.
Vagisil Face Primer

You might not feel comfortable rubbing genital cream onto your face. But makeup artist Huda Kattan swears Vagisil makes a great primer. She posted a video testing out several unconventional primers, like lube and laxatives, but chose Vagisil as the winner.
Kattan might be onto something. Vagisil and many makeup primers share a common ingredient: dimethicone.
Feather Eyebrows

Is this makeup trend strictly for the birds? Finnish makeup artist Stella Sironen doesn??t think so. She credits her friend Levi for helping her come up with this look. All you have to do is split the brow down the middle by brushing the hairs to either direction. It's definitely bold, but judging from the comments, it's not for everyone.

Silicone discs make great makeup applicators, since they don't absorb product. Don't have one? No problem! Follow the tide of social media hacks and just use a silicone insert from a bra!
Sure, this method works, but it's pretty silly. Why ruin a perfectly good bra when you can probably spend less money just buying a silicone sponge?

Move over, eyeliner pencil ?C ink is the new way to fake freckles. In 2017, tattooed freckles became the beauty look of the moment. Specialists claim they can make the dots look perfectly natural, but they're still semi-permanent. Would you still want these dots on your face after the trend has passed?
