  Kate McKinnon's alien abductee took out Aidy Bryant, Bobby Moynihan, Cecily Strong, and most of all Ryan Gosling. It's rare to see Bryant or Strong break. From the very beginning of the sketch, McKinnon, usually solid, is on shaky ground. Glorious.

  (#10) James Brown’s Celebrity Hot Tub Party

  Eddie Murphy was so on fire during his Saturday Night Live days that not even a hot tub could douse his flames. His only foil was himself. It’s a small moment but Murphy cracks himself up in the middle of this classic sketch.

  (#8) Hot Tub Lovers

  Rachel Dratch and Will Ferrell were hell-bent on being the most cringe-inducing couple as Roger and Virginia, the Love-ahs. In this hot tub sketch, they try to lure Jimmy Fallon’s character, as well as a fully-clothed Barbara Hernandez (Drew Barrymore), into a four way. Fallon, who looks like he was not present at rehearsal and is hearing all of this weird stuff for the first time, breaks a little more than midway through the sketch. Then Barrymore goes.

  Dratch and Ferrell lose it mid-way when they try to mutually nibble spiced meats. Fallon just can’t believe what he’s hearing and doesn’t even attempt to keep it together. Barrymore tries to hang in there. The next crash and burn happens two minutes from the end when Ferrell’s weird lilting voice and strange words make everyone bust. Dratch goes again at toward the end causing Ferrell to break and then it’s just on until the end of the sketch.

  • Fictional Character

  In this Valentine’s Day tips segment on "Weekend Update," Bill Hader’s Stefon cracks himself up as usual. Breaking himself up was always part of this bit. Here, Stefon loses it at "Jewpids."

  (#26) Aquarium Repairman

  Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz just can’t get through this repairman sketch. The sketch isn’t exactly funny until Fallon and Sanz crack themselves up. They totally saved save this sketch “over here.”

  (#24) Leatherman

  Jimmy Fallon is holding himself together in this sketch about a store that sells leather clothes. Decked out in head-to-toe leather, the joke is that he squeaks with every movement.

  Host Brittany Murphy plays a customer and she’s dedicated to the material until Horatio Sanz shows up as Fallon’s shop assistant. When Fallon lashes Sanz with a whip, they both bottom out - a typical reaction when Sanz and Fallon got together.
