  • (#1) Eminem Said His Mother Fed Him Drugs As A Child

On multiple occasions, Eminem has dropped lyrics about his rocky relationship with his mother, Debbie Mathers. The artist may have thrown down his biggest dig in his 2002 single, "Cleanin' Out My Closet," in which he throws down his famous rhyme:

    "Just try to envision
Witnessing your mama popping prescription pills in the kitchen...
    Victim of Munchhausen's Syndrome
My whole life I was made to believe I was sick when I wasn't
'Til I grew up, now I blew up, it makes you sick to ya stomach."

Yikes. His mother denied the claims, but Eminem just fought back harder. He released "My Mom" in 2009, spitting lyrics like, "Valium was in everything, food that I ate, the water that I drank, f*cking peas on my plate."

  • (#2) Nick Cannon

    • 38

In his track "The Warning," Eminem raps:

"Wow Mariah, didn't expect you to go balls out
Bitch shut the f*ck up, 'fore I put all them phone calls out
You made to my house when you was (Wild'n Out) before Nick
When you was on my d*ck and give you somethin to smile about
How many times you fly to my house, still tryin' to count
Better shut your lyin' mouth if you don't want Nick findin' out."

Eminem not only upped the ante in his feud with Mariah Carey, but he also brought her husband Nick Cannon into it. Cannon responded, "The way the Eminem thing started was that I never had an issue with him... If anything, I’ve been one of his biggest fans, but when another man crosses a line of disrespect, then you got to deal with it."

  • (#3) Ja Rule

    • 42

The feud between Eminem and Ja Rule goes back a long way. After 50 Cent produced some music dissing Ja Rule, he signed with with Shady/Aftermath Records. Ja Rule was angry with Eminem for signing him, and threatened to retaliate.

Unfazed, Eminem released "Hail Mary" with 50 Cent and Busta Rhymes, rapping about how Ja Rule is just a poor imitation of 2Pac. The result? 50 Cent was stabbed by some members of Murder Inc., and then, a few short months later, shot five times.

  • (#4) Benzino

    • 54

This feud began in the early 2000s, when The Source, a magazine co-founded by Benzino, gave The Marshall Mathers LP a 2/5 rating. At first, Eminem kept quiet about the terrible rating since it in no way affected the overwhelming record sales. The fight didn't really escalate until Benzino released a track titled "I Don't Wanna" aimed at Eminem, then another track.

Eminem shot back with "The Sauce." After Benzino fired back again, Eminem released the killer track “Nail in the Coffin." Benzino, for the record, eventually apologized for the feud.

  • (#5) Christina Aguilera

    • 38

Christina Aguilera called out Eminem for directing violent lyrics at his ex-wife, Kim. Then, in 2000, Eminem released a little song called "The Real Slim Shady." He included a lyric about Christina Aguilera sexually servicing Fred Durst, and Aguilera objected, calling the line "disgusting... offensive and, above all... not true."

Not to be outdone, Aguilera released her own parody track in response, titled, "Will the Real Slim Shady Please Shut Up."

In 2018, Eminem released a freestyle called "Kick Off" and once again alluded to Aguilera in a sexual nature. When asked about the dis on What Happens Live with Andy CohenAguleria said, "get a new gig... have something else to talk about."

  • (#6) Donald Trump

    • 72

Eminem did not hold back in October 2017. He unleashed a freestyle targeted at President Donald Trump, concluding with an ultimatum:

And any fan of mine who's a supporter of his, I'm drawing in the sand a line. You're either for or against, and if you can't decide who you like more and you're split on who you should stand beside, I'll do it for it for you with this. F*ck you.

The rest of the freestyle is peppered with savage burns, too. He calls Trump a "kamikaze that will probably cause a nuclear holocaust," accuses him of giving "support for the Klansman," and calls Trump simply "a bitch."

  • (#7) Mariah Carey

    • 48

After it came out that Eminem and Mariah Carey supposedly once had an affair, Carey denied the whole thing:

Did I have a sexual relationship with him? No, I didn't... I knew him, I hung out with him a few times, but nothing sexual occurred... Maybe he thought because nothing happened he'd look bad or something.

How did Eminem fight back? How he always does: with a track. Before performing "Puke" in 2005, he played some voicemails reportedly from Carey and pretended to vomit. Carey, for her part, released "Obsessed," which many people assume is about Eminem.

  • Will Smith on Random Feuds Between Eminem Vs. Everybody That Prove Slim Shady Is Most Savage

    (#8) Will Smith

    • 50

The problems between Eminem and Will Smith seem to be more about respect than anything. At the 1998 Grammys, Smith famously bemoaned the use of profanity in rap music. In seeming response, Eminem added these lyrics to "The Real Slim Shady":

"Will Smith don't gotta cuss in his raps to sell records
Well I do, so f*ck him and f*ck you too!"

Later, Eminem explained how he felt personally attacked by Smith's speech:

I felt like he was taking a stab at me and [Dr.] Dre and anybody who uses profanity on the records to express themselves. If you feel strong enough about something, then you might put a little "f*ck" before you say exactly what you’re saying.

  • (#9) Casey Anthony

    • 32

Eminem seems pretty sore that Casey Anthony was acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. In his song, "Evil Twin," he raps, "Jose Baez couldn't beat this rap, OJ, no  hooray, I'm off the hook like Casey Anthony, hey ho."

It's interesting that Eminem throws punches at alleged murderers, considering his song "Kim," in which he discusses killing his own ex-wife, Kim Mathers.

  • (#10) Michael Jackson

    • Dec. at 51 (1958-2009)

The argument between Eminem and Michael Jackson began when Eminem released "Just Lose It" in 2004. The video alludes to Jackson's alleged sexual behavior with young boys, and includes lyrics like:

"I done touched on everything, but little boys
That's not a stab at Michael
    That's just a metaphor, I'm just psycho."

Jackson asked that television networks pull the video, and expressed his hurt:

I've never had a problem with Eminem... I've admired Eminem as an artist, and was shocked by this... The video was inappropriate and disrespectful to me, my children, my family and the community at large.

  • (#11) George W. Bush

    • 72

Slim Shady isn't afraid to get political. He wasn't too happy that Bush was a candidate on his ballot - so unhappy, in fact, that he said he wanted him dead. The uncensored version of Eminem's song "We As Americans" was leaked in 2003, featuring lyrics like, "I don’t rap for dead presidents, I’d rather see the president dead."

The Secret Service even got involved, saying that they were reading the song as a threat. No charges were ever brought against Eminem.

  • (#12) Pamela Anderson

    • 51

While this feud doesn't necessarily seem personal, Eminem drops some brutal lines in "My Name Is" from 1999's The Slim Shady LP:

"Got pissed off and ripped Pamela Lee's tits off
And smacked her so hard I knocked her clothes backwards like Kris Kross."

That's not the only time Eminem has gone after Anderson. On "The Real Slim Shady," he alludes to her domestic abuse charges against ex-husband Tommy Lee, too.

  • (#13) Miley Cyrus

    • 26

On the 2009 track "Underground/Ken Kaniff," Eminem raps, "Hannah Montana, prepare to elope with a can opener and be cut open like cantaloupe on canopy beds." He also alluded to masturbating to Hannah Montana in another of his songs on the LP.

At the time, 17-year-old actress Miley Cyrus seemed unfazed by her appearance in his music. She even once tweeted that he was a "living legend."

  • (#14) Iggy Azalea

    • 28

Iggy Azalea is a controversial figure in the rap world. Eminem made his opinion on her clear in the track "Vegas":

"So what's it gon' be? Put that shit away Iggy
You gon' blow that rape whistle on me."

Azalea responded by saying she’s “bored of the old men threatening young women.”

  • (#15) Eminem Called Nick Cannon 'Whipped' On Fat Joe's 'Family Ties'

On December 6, 2019, Fat Joe released the collaborative project Family Ties with Dre, Jeremih, Anuel AA, Big Bank DTE, Bryson Tiller, Cardi B, Lil' Wayne, Mary J. Blige, Remy Ma, Ty Dolla $ign, and, of course, Eminem. Fat Joe called "Lord Above"  the "most disrespectful song" on the album, not the least bit because Eminem called out Nick Cannon for being "whipped" and "neutered" in his previous relationship with Mariah Carey.

Eminem raps, "I know me and Mariah didn't end on a high note / But that other dude's whipped, that p*ssy got him neutered / Tried to tell him this chick's a nut job before he got his jewels clipped / Almost got my caboose kicked, fool, quit, you not gon' do sh*t / I let her chop my balls off, too 'fore I lost to you, Nick."

On December 9, three days after Family Ties was released, Cannon responded to Eminem's dis with the song "The Invitation," and challenged Eminem to appear on his show, Wild 'N Out. Cannon raps, "Call Kim, somebody get Hailey and that other kid you raising that ain't even your baby / Took a page out of Drake book, this might get a Grammy / We going back to back until you respond - on the family / My baby mama killed you off a decade ago / You still crying about it b*tch, now who really the hoe?"

  • (#16) Eminem Thought Royce Da 5'9 Dissed Him (But He Didn't)

Don't worry – Eminem and Royce Da 5'9 eventually made up. The whole fight started when Royce wrote a verse for Eminem that seemed to dis the artist. Royce claimed it wasn't actually meant that way, but Eminem was insulted, and the two feuded for years.
