About This Tool

The Mexican General Administration of Radio, television and film is responsible for the management of the film industry and is headed by the Ministry of the Interior. After 1976, Mexico’s film establishment was in flux, and the film bank was closed. State-run Mexican film companies lose money almost every year because of financial problems and a lack of money for the industry. Some private producers, in pursuit of attendance and in competition with foreign films, make films that are considered provocative, such as pornography, murder, and fighting.

1976 was a pivotal year for Mexican cinema, with several films winning the Silver Bear Award in West Berlin. The random tool generated 21 Mexican films about the 1976s, including Matin ée, El Hombre de los hongos, LAS Poquianchis, Letters from Marusia, El Ministro y Yo and others. Is there a movie you like in there?

Click the "Display All Items" button and you will get a list of Mexican films of 1976.
