About This Tool

Scotland is a civil law system, not a common law system. Scotland is an independent kingdom within the United Kingdom, and the Kingdom of England has a king, but its own legal system and judicial system are independent, the British government has no jurisdiction. In 2007, the Scottish Government revised and issued 473 legal instruments, as it became clear that many of the laws previously in force were not sufficient to keep pace with the rapid development of society, detailed information is collated in a random tool.

The emergence of these laws complements other aspects of Scottish Publishing. As a legal system issued in the same year, the Scottish Government has made great efforts especially in the areas of education, finance, social development and welfare protection. Many of the benefits previously unavailable to the public are clearly reflected in this legal supplement. The generator just happens to keep a detailed record of each additional law, giving society more confidence in the Scottish legal system.
