The injured officer was treated and released the same night, but one shopper said "This is my first Black Friday and my last."

    Covarrubias reportedly fled the scene with another suspect, heading toward the movie theater, and was arrested while his companion was not. He was detained for assault with a deadly weapon while the victim was sent to the hospital and underwent surgery for his injuries.

    A shopper was carrying a big screen TV that they had sucessfully purchased thanks to Black Friday week sales. At 9:45 pm, when the victim was carrying it to his apartment, someone fired warning shots.

    The incident, which took place near the University of Nevada, involved two robbers taking the television from the man. The stubborn shopper tried to take it back, but the robbers fired a warning again, this time hitting the victim in the leg. Non-threatening injuries were sustained and no arrests were made.
