About This Tool

Limbus, the Nepalese people of South Asia. Mainly distributed in the most eastern Dankuda, Sankuwa Sapa, related, Daplezhong, Panchtar and Ilam 6 counties. The second large ethnic group of the Kiranti people of Nepal, a Mongolian people of about 200,000 people living in the area between the Aalen river and the Sikkim border at the eastern end of the Himalayas and speaking the Tibetan-Nepali dialect of Kiranti. They were divided into several patrilineal clans, each headed by a chief. The leader is usually a demobilized Gurkha soldier. In Rimbo, people grow rice, wheat, maize in terraced and irrigated fields and are self-sufficient. Rimbo people adhere to traditional religions, worship the highest gods, mountain gods and river gods.
