About This Tool

Maine is located in the northeast corner of the United States in New England. Capital Augusta. The main terrain for the New England highlands, undulating ground, about 600 meters above sea level, central Katahdin,Mt. , 1606 meters above sea level, the highest peak in the state. The northwest is the rugged Wyett mountains, the southeast more narrow parts of the coastal lowlands, coastal twists and turns, many harbors, offshore islands. The original inhabitants were Indians.

The algonquin Indians were the first to live here. From 1497 to 1499, the British employed an Italian captain, John Cabot, who sailed along the coast. In the 16th century, Portuguese, Spanish, French, and British explorers explored the islands, seaports, and rivers. The multi-ethnic mix has integrated the natural landmarks of the region into different cultures. The random tool generated a total of 14 famous Maine landmarks.
